The Charity for Civil Servants is the Civil Service Club’s “Charity of the Year” 2025

The Charity for Civil Servants supports current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times. They’re ready to help when the unexpected happens, helping people stay strong, whatever life brings. You can also stay in touch with the charity to hear more about their work, fundraising activities and ways to get involved by signing up to their newsletter.

Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS)

The Civil Service Insurance Society is a Not for Profit organisation, providing specially negotiated home, motor and travel insurance to all current and former civil and public servants and their partners.

CSIS charges NO ADMINISTRATION FEES of any kind and has won several awards for their trusted and transparent approach to insurance.

CSIS donates all its profits to the CSIS Charity Fund, an independent charity dedicated to helping current and former civil and public servants and their families to get through tough times in their lives. It has made grants to around 100 organisations including The Charity for Civil Servants, and supported the spouses of deceased policyholders, for more than a century. All Civil Service Club members are eligible for a 10% discount on travel insurance!

Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS)

 

Civil Service Pensioners' Alliance (CSPA)

CSPA was founded in 1952 by retired Civil Servants seeking to work together to protect and improve the purchasing power of Civil Service pensions and to promote the economic and social wellbeing of pensioners. CSPA offers to support members experiencing individual pension problems and, if needed, liaise with the Cabinet Office and pension administrators to assist in resolving any issues.

CSPA has a network of groups and branches around the UK and campaigns with other organisations on wider issues affecting pensioners, such as the State Pension, health and social care, accessible transport and housing, and digital exclusion. Members receive a quarterly magazine, The Pensioner, and have access to free services including legal and IT helplines. CSPA members also benefit from a range of offers including discounted travel, home and car insurance schemes designed especially for pensioners.

The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship (CSRF)

The CSRF is a Civil Service charity dedicated to helping former civil servants and their dependants enjoy a better and more fulfilling retirement. They are funded by subscriptions and donations and have a range of subscriber benefits specifically for those who support them.

The CSRF run a range of services (including two national befriending schemes to reduce social isolation and loneliness in later life), local community groups (providing advice, educational speakers and leisure activities) and offer general information, advice and signposting to a wide range of other supportive organisations.

CSSC (Civil Service Sports Council)

Becoming a member of CSSC provides free days out, sports, health and wellbeing benefits together with savings, discounts and offers on a huge range of retail and leisure opportunities. Boundless is a membership club for working and retired public-sector and Civil Service employees, delivering amazing experiences and unforgettable days out for all the family.

Every year they support inspirational charities by donating funds raised through the dedicated Boundless Foundation Lottery. The money raised when people play the weekly lottery helps support those in need through various community support networks and makes a real difference to people’s lives.
