The Club offers a bistro style casual dining experience in the bar areas of the Club. Members can book tables in advance by using the Club’s membership App, or by clicking the reservations button. In addition to our published menus, we also offer daily specials, please check the specials boards in the bars for the day’s offerings when you next visit.
Private dining, with table service, is available in our function rooms, for which there is an additional room hire charge.
The Club is the perfect venue for banqueting whether for a sit-down meal or a less formal buffet.
The largest room is the main dining room which can accommodates up to 70 people in at theatre-style set up. For more relaxed affairs such as finger buffets or receptions, our spaces can host a maximum of 100 guests. For a sit-down meal or a classroom-style arrangement, the maximum capacity is 65 people. Additionally, there is an adjacent fully stocked bar available for use during meetings/functions.

I think the big attractions of the club are firstly value for money and secondly the really helpful and efficient staff. The only thing that sometimes seems unfriendly is when every table in the bar is booked. This means that everyone tries to book a table as I did and the casual visitor can feel unwanted. Maybe keep a small number of tables unbooked?

We are more than satisfied with our first experience of the Civil Service Club. The standards are high, the staff are welcoming and able to provide helpful advice on local attractions and transport options. Accommodation is very competitively priced, as is the wide ranging menu, particularly for central London.

I think the booking system for tables should be done away with at the bar and leave the booking for upstairs. The bar area is not big enough for bookings.

The Sunday Roast beef was very tufts to cut the roast potatoes was a bit hard ! They swim the place with gravy didnt look nice on the plates I did not like the roast am sorry to say the standard of the foods is very poor my previous experience recently we have been several disappointed with the standards of the foods need to look more into improvements!

All of the party enjoyed the food bar one. She ordered vegan ratatouille but thought it resembled lasagne! It wasn't the texture or appearance of ratatouille as we all know it, the cheese sauce was sadly lacking, and she was disappointed. We did report it at the time and the member of staff was going to inform the chef. Otherwise most enjoyable, as always.

Unusual to have issues with bar staff, same round of drinks went from 45.00 to 55.60, also ran out of certain flavoured gins. Ordered two cheese boards and got two cheesecakes. Although rectified quickly. Very surprised on service - always been of a high standard previously.

As ever the staff charming and helpful, whether the bar is busy or not! Food arrives quickly, though I would prefer a higher standard for this pub fare; it certainly is competitively priced, which cannot be easy in the present climate.
