Lovely food, nicely presented and great service.
I booked a table but was put in the restaurant, but without any notice on the table I was allocated. This was just under the TV, which I couldn't see. I wasn't allowed to change tables, even though there was only one other diner.
Lovely atmosphere
Fabulous food as always and nice warm atmosphere. A great place for a great value lunch.
A good service
Good service but the bar was unmanned sometimes.
Lovely Sunday roast. The lamb was tasty and tender. and great homemade Yorkshire pudding.
Unfortunately there was quite a large group reminiscing quite loudly [due to numbers, nothing unpleasant] and so everyone else increased their volume accordingly, so it was an unusually noisy meal; no ones fault really, but it is part of our feedback!
Good to see well used
We was lucky with our order as it seemed that a lots of orders were getting missed placed. Bar prices have also gone up a fair amount
Need a change up on the menu. Perhaps get rid of the less popular dishes.
None to add
Upstairs is hardly ever open so the downstairs bar areas are overfilled with tables and people
Really good place to meet friends and colleagues. A jolly atmosphere - always busy at lunchtime. Sweet staff. Food and drinks extremely reasonable and generous portions.
Very enjoyable meeting place.
Staff are always friendly. My go-to for lunch from the office.
Excellent as always. Great staff, great food and drink. Thank you!
Great place for a bite to eat and drink after work. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is lively.
As a recently joined member, but having visited the Club over a number of years previously, I have always appreciated the value of having this facility in such a central position in London. It offers all round good value, and I have always found the staff to be cheerful and polite; no less so on this visit, where I booked a table in the bar area for a light lunch. If I can be critical of one thing, it was the sound level of the music being played in the area I was sat, which was between the bar and TV Room. With a lower ceiling, the sound doesn't need to be as high as in the main bar area, where the density of furnishings and patrons absorbs it to a greater degree. I appreciate it may not be possible to set different levels for different areas, but nevertheless something to bear in mind, as it can be intrusive to an otherwise pleasant experience.
Without exception, the food is always delicious, served promptly and great value. Furthermore, the selection of drinks both alcohol and nonalcoholic is excellent, especially the real ales. I will always try and have my meals at the CSC whenever Im in London, whether thats with work or socially. I wish I lived nearer than west Wales.
