Great club in central London. Amazing outside area, lovely food at great prices and fabulous staff

Couldn't find our reservation but we were 10 minutes late would the Club have let the table go. As it was the Club was not very busy so we got a table ok.

We ordered food but the gravy with my chicken pie was cold and I had to take it back. By the time fresh hot gravy had arrived I was half way through the meal. The presentation of the food could be improved and the portions are too big.

We arrived a bit early and encountered a large group of loud, swearing men - one of whom was dressed in shorts and all close to our reserved table. We don’t know whether they had been staying there as they appeared to have been there for breakfast.

We find the club is getting very noisy especially 1200-1400.

We ordered lunch at 1200 but it didn’t arrive until 1235. Dessert was quicker.

Prices are good but I feel the club needs to be a bit more discerning re membership.

We do appreciate it needs to be profitable.

A quiet area would suit us better.

Hope these thoughts are constructive.

The food was excellent and good value. Bar area was rather crowded and noisy but service was very good.

Always first class, a little noisy this week, but nothing untoward,  will be visiting again a few times in the next couple of months

Excellent and professional.

We took our grandsons for lunch.  They loved it (they said the burgers were really good).  It is our go-to place for a rest and a meal and/or drink when op in town.

Food portions very generous, perhaps overly so, we could not finish our meals.  Vegetables, carrots and cauliflower was rather uninspiring and tasteless.  I love vegetables but these appeared to be frozen veg had been used.  No flavour.  I have noticed the same with the Sunday roasts, the vegetables are not up to scratch.

Went again to dine at the Civil Service Club and it was as usual excellent, I booked a table so I had a nice space to myself, and this time I opted for the Sunday roast which was excellent.  A huge portion with lovely beef, roast potatoes, mixed vegetables and the usual Yorkshire pudding, I didn’t need to eat anything else for the rest of the day.  Can’t wait to come back for the Sunday roast.

Despite mentioning a few times over the last year or so that the vegetables are rock hard most times we order the roast dinners ...,, again they turned up rock hard.

We put the vegetables on a separate plate and sent them back. They were then cooked properly. I don't understand why this keep happening. The only other comment I have is that the meat is too thickly cut. Apart from that the meals are good and well worth the price.

Polite and efficient service, and good quality food served speedily made my visit an enjoyable one.
