The Club offers a bistro style casual dining experience in the bar areas of the Club. Members can book tables in advance by using the Club’s membership App, or by clicking the reservations button. In addition to our published menus, we also offer daily specials, please check the specials boards in the bars for the day’s offerings when you next visit.
Private dining, with table service, is available in our function rooms, for which there is an additional room hire charge.
The Club is the perfect venue for banqueting whether for a sit-down meal or a less formal buffet.
The largest room is the main dining room which can accommodates up to 70 people in at theatre-style set up. For more relaxed affairs such as finger buffets or receptions, our spaces can host a maximum of 100 guests. For a sit-down meal or a classroom-style arrangement, the maximum capacity is 65 people. Additionally, there is an adjacent fully stocked bar available for use during meetings/functions.
If you wish further information, or to discuss private dining or banqueting, please see our Functions page or contact the Functions Manager

A very good club.
I had made a reservation for 12.30 in the bar area and on arrival no table had been reserved. We were given the only table empty in the middle of the room where people kept bumping into us. People were sitting at other tables with no food or drink waiting to go upstairs which is very unfair.
Most fantastic fish and chips yesterday.Big portions and freshly cooked -totally delicious .Great atmosphere and very friendly staff .Lovely start to an afternoon going to Christmas celebrations. Thanks very much to all the staff.
Good as ever.
Had a lovely afternoon with my team - great Christmas atmosphere,
At times it can be very noisy, the acoustics are not good, but I guess theres not much that can be done
It was a nice meal and lovely staff but a bit noisy in the main restaurant.
Excellent Xmas Meal, attentive staff, my guests enjoyed their afternoon. Only critique is that there were too many people squeezed into the dining room, and a horrendous number of people in the bar afterwards meaning we could not stay for coffee. Lovely lady at the front desk tried very hard to get us a taxi without success - not her fault at all.
Pleased to be back after Covid restrictions BUT would like breakfast menu to include your fruit salad, kippers and smoked haddock as previously offered. There were a few minor problems with room 408, the catch on the bathroom door was prominent, shower door did not close properly, the plug in the hand basin would not lower, reading lamp bulb not working- minor defects which did not spoil our enjoyment. Food and service excellent as usual See you again soon.
Great staff
Staff were friendly and looked after us very well. The magic show could have been a bit longer I know the magician vist each table during the evening. When It came to doing his show it could have lasted a little longer as the magician was good and enjoyable to watch. Would book again.
Always visit the Civil Service Club when I come up to London to the theatre or similar. Perfectly located coming into Waterloo and en route to the West End. Staff always great, service good and and good selection of food and drinks at great prices.

Disappointed that table wasn't there. Booked for 17:45 arrived 17:50 and was told table was cancelled as it was booked for 4.30. After checking my booking we were shown into the tv area that had a table for 4, the only one left!
The atmosphere was not quite as in pre-Covid years because there were only 14 in the restaurant but we still had a very enjoyable time. I think we were the first table to order desserts and were suprised to be told they had run out of cream for the Christmas pudding. (there is a mini supermarket quite close by!)
The price of drinks has risen meaning it's not quite as good value as before. My guest's salad wasn't as fresh as it might have been but there was a good Christmas vibe in the place and the service was first class.
Hi,my gratitude to Julia for booking us in. I have always tried to leave positive feedback as I enjoy being at the Club, as do my friends. Some of the members of the Club, who are retired civil servants that have full membership including myself, commented last Sunday that tthe prices had been hiked up considerably. We noticed this on the cost of a burger and other meals. I've always been a great fan of the service, food, value for money etc at the Club. However on this occasion the fish and chips was over cooked and tasted very oily and the chips were not as appetising, and in line with the increase in costs, we were not impressed.
Wish some had advised us on point scheme as we didnt know about it Great service otherwise We dont get any information about trips and outings
Had a great time really enjoyed the meal.
When we arrived there were few diners so it was quiet, but the atmosphere improved as more people came in. The service was excellent, the food delicious, overall a very good experience.
