The Club offers a bistro style casual dining experience in the bar areas of the Club. Members can book tables in advance by using the Club’s membership App, or by clicking the reservations button. In addition to our published menus, we also offer daily specials, please check the specials boards in the bars for the day’s offerings when you next visit.
Private dining, with table service, is available in our function rooms, for which there is an additional room hire charge.
The Club is the perfect venue for banqueting whether for a sit-down meal or a less formal buffet.
The largest room is the main dining room which can accommodates up to 70 people in at theatre-style set up. For more relaxed affairs such as finger buffets or receptions, our spaces can host a maximum of 100 guests. For a sit-down meal or a classroom-style arrangement, the maximum capacity is 65 people. Additionally, there is an adjacent fully stocked bar available for use during meetings/functions.

My first trip back since the pandemic. Great bar food and excellent, friendly service from all staff. I will be back again in 2 weeks.
I was a little put out to note that my bedroom was also the fire escape, but there was no fire, so no damage done. It was comfortable, as was the bed. I was unhappy that the hot tap had to be run between 5 and 10 minutes on some mornings before any hot water would appear and the towel rail kept falling off the wall. The windows were frosted and only one small one would open, but this was a minor inconvenience as there was little light to be had from the windows. I don't think the aromatic smell of sewage in the small bathroom added much to the ambience of the room, but as I only slept in it, ( the room, rather than the sewage) it wasn't too inconvenient.
Very busy but service quick
The Queen Elizabeth Dining Room is a delight to be in.. Many other people thought so too and with only two members of staff serving, everything was rather slow. However the food was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful

I use the Civil Service Club often and it is always a pleasure. The food is good, the prices very reasonable and service is exemplary
My sirloin steak was good. My wifes salmon was unappetising to look at as apart from a small amount of spinach had no vegetables or salad. I used to enjoy the roast of the day no longer part of the menu; and the vouchers, also now discarded.
Not sure why i need to book my guest when i book a table & then book him again when he arrives in the club ? ? thank you.
