There weren't enough chairs and we had to wait for staff to bring one. Food was excellent, wait time reasonable given how busy you were. Someone put their drinks on my bill, I spotted this and money was refunded to me instantly without fuss; thank you.
Excellent food and drink.
All the staff are very helpful. The food and drinks were good.
Everything was really special.as.usual. What a wonderful.location.
The table booking request was met very satisfactorily. Our family were most impressed and we all enjoyed our excellent meal served by very friendly staff and will certainly be back for more. Thank you very much.
A great place to be! Especially before or after a theatre visit.
I joined the club about two months ago. I think the club is great. Its very good value. Staff are lovely, food is great and beer is also very good. My only comment relates to the wine. The champagne, prosecco and rose is very good but the red and white wine is dreadful. Can you please improve the quality of wine even if it means introducing a couple of more expensive wines such as a Rioja Gran Reserva and an Albariño. Im sure it would be appreciated by the members. Thank you
Really enjoyed my evening at the club with a friend. Very friendly, helpful staff (it was my first visit). Excellent Guinness and the steak and chips were of very high quality and fantastic value for money. Can't wait to return.
It's great place any time of day from lunch to evening supper -their Sunday roasts being my favourite (real value for money). I also enjoy dropping in for an after-work drink, when I can. The place has a long history too. Eventually, I got round to buying their book on the history of the club, fascinating. Who knew that when Princess Elizabeth (our late queen) married Lieutenant Mountbatten in 1947 the balance of the Wedding Fund collected by the Civil Service was gifted to the Civil Service Club by command of the princess. That balance in today's money was over £700,000. I truly enjoy popping into the club from time to time!
Another delicious repast!
